My Name is Michael Alspach, I am a modern day descendant from the Miami Nation of Indians. Not only am I a modern day descendant, I look just like my forefathers, anyone that knows me will tell you i look like little turtle whose visage once graced the walls of the whitehouse.

I think that I am closer to Meshingomesian in mindset, though I am extremely intelligent, rated as a naturally born visual mathmetician, with a IQ of 135 bottom end of the spectrum.

It was January 6th, epithany/three kings day 1971 at 7:47 am in Miami County Indiana that I was born at Dukes Memorial in a place called Peru Indiana, the modern day hub of the miami nation, what little is left of it anyways. three kings day is the time of the year in which the three wisemen actually arrived at the manger bearing gift for the newborn king, an epithany is a moment of enlightentment, the realisation that the savior jesus christ, the immaculate conception in the fleshen form of our lord was born.

Nice day to be born on for one of above average intelligence, and a good relationship with my maker or so I think.

My Mothers Name was Marty, and my fathers name was Robert.

my mother asked my grandmother what to name me, and she said Michael was the right name for me, and so the fighting began, but that little jewish grandmother of mine got her wish and I was and am named Michael as my christian name today, My father was furious.

My fathers name was Robert, as I said earlier, and it was tradition, his fathers name was Robert too, the oldest son was Robert, but not this time, can you imagine the scandal in 1971?

but lets face it, god has blessed the jews, and they get what they want, besides, the name michael means "one who is like god", thats a beautiful thing in itself right?

I was born into the Miami Nation as well, a tribe that today is federally unrecognized, at 10 days old, as Miami tradition dictated I was taken to the fork of the Namischinsewah and the Wapashiki (Mississinewa and Wabash) and baptised as a human being, a Metosan as we called ourselves (metosanah was plural actually) a Miami as they called us.

on january 16th I was taken into the frozen waters as was my forefathers before me, to enjoy the breathe of life mixing with the water that nourishes life as well, all that is missing is the fire, the earth you are still standing on while standing in the water, but what of the fire within?

the medicine woman looked at my father, and then my mother, and then my eyes and the name was pronounced, i was given an algonquin name that translated as "Rising Sun" in my forefathers tongue. The name of my algonquin halfbred father was Aquenaucquah or "Turtle"

odd stuff man.. sometimes it seems so damn weird..

and that was just the start

2 years later, i had a baby brother born into my family, and he inherited the names robert, and also michikinaquah, or "Little Turtle" in english
